Water is one of the most destructive forces in pavement design. Infiltration into road structures weakens subgrades, creates potholes and ruts, and accelerates cracking, heaving, and long-term structural failure. These issues are especially severe in roads built over expansive clays or in regions with wet climates and freeze–thaw cycles.

MIRAFI H2Rx is a high-performance moisture wicking geotextile designed specifically for road pavements and railway structures. It uses super high-tenacity polypropylene yarns to deliver a high biaxial tensile modulus at 2% strain, providing mechanical restraint in both directions.

At the same time, its proprietary capillary wicking technology draws and redirects moisture across the plane of the geotextile, rapidly draining excess water and equalizing moisture content within the subgrade. This combination reduces deformation, improves stiffness, and limits water-induced pavement distress.
